1. Definitions

• "Bijak Compass" or "we/us/our" refers to the educational and consulting practice operating under that name at Level 8, Maju Junction Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
• "User" or "you" refers to any individual or organisation who accesses our website or books a session.
• "Session" refers to any of our three engagements: Bearing Session, Business Process Review, or Household Charting Programme.
• "Content" refers to all text, documents, templates, and materials produced by Bijak Compass during or following a session.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions as accepted by the User.
• "Website" refers to the site accessible at bijakjcompas.sbs.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or booking a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

You must be at least 18 years of age to book a session or enter into this agreement. By proceeding, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to do so.

3. Service Description

Bijak Compass provides structured educational and operational consulting sessions. These sessions are designed to help individuals and small businesses organise financial information, understand documents, and build internal processes. Our sessions are educational in nature and do not constitute:

• Licensed financial planning advice
• Investment recommendations
• Legal or tax advice
• Debt counselling as defined under Malaysian law

Sessions are available to clients based in Malaysia or attending remotely from any location. We operate primarily from Kuala Lumpur and conduct online sessions via video call.

4. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when booking and during sessions
• Not misrepresent your identity or the purpose of a session
• Not use our website or sessions for any unlawful purpose
• Not record any session without the prior written consent of the facilitator
• Not reproduce or redistribute session materials without our written permission
• Treat facilitators with professional respect throughout all interactions

5. Intellectual Property

All templates, documents, frameworks, and written materials produced by Bijak Compass remain the intellectual property of Bijak Compass unless otherwise agreed in writing. Session outputs (such as your completed one-page chart or process map) are provided for your personal or business use. You may not sell, license, or commercially distribute session materials produced by our team without prior written consent.

Content submitted by you during a session (such as your financial figures or business process notes) remains your property. We do not claim ownership of information you share.

6. Payment Terms

All session fees are payable in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Current pricing:

• Bearing Session: RM 460 per session
• Business Process Review: RM 1,850 per engagement
• Household Charting Programme: RM 4,300 for the full three-month programme

Payment is required in full before the first session of each engagement. We accept bank transfer and selected online payment methods as communicated at the time of booking.

Cancellations and rescheduling

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a session: full refund
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of a session: 50% of that session's fee is non-refundable
• No-shows without prior notice: no refund for that session
• Rescheduling requests made more than 24 hours before a session: accommodated at no charge (subject to availability)
• For the Household Programme: unused sessions within the three-month period may not be carried over or refunded after the programme start date

7. Session-Specific Terms

Each session has a defined scope. The scope is confirmed in writing before the engagement begins. We reserve the right to decline or end a session if the requested scope falls outside our services (e.g. requests for product recommendations, investment advice, or legal opinion).

Session outputs are produced based on the information provided by the client. Bijak Compass does not verify the accuracy of figures or documents shared and accepts no liability for decisions made based on session outputs.

The Business Process Review follow-up call is included in the engagement fee. It is scheduled at approximately four weeks after the engagement day. It does not extend the scope of the original engagement.

8. Disclaimers

Our sessions, materials, and website content are provided for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on our website or in any session constitutes regulated financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice.

We provide our services "as available". We do not represent that sessions will produce specific outcomes for individual clients.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Bijak Compass shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from use of our website or sessions. Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the session fee paid for the engagement in question.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bijak Compass, its team members, and partners from any claims, losses, or costs (including legal costs) arising from your misuse of our services, breach of these Terms, or provision of inaccurate information.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement in writing. If Bijak Compass terminates an engagement without cause, a pro-rata refund of unused session fees will be issued. If a client terminates, the cancellation policy in Section 6 applies.

We reserve the right to decline future bookings from users who have breached these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall first be subject to informal resolution by written notice. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

13. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any written session scope confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between us.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
• Notices: Notices to us should be sent to [email protected].

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. For existing bookings, the Terms in effect at the time of booking apply. Continued use of our website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
